Counterfeits worth over PLN 20 million. KAS "made an entrance" to Wólka Kosowska

Officers of the Podlaskie National Revenue Administration found counterfeit goods worth over PLN 20 million in a warehouse near a shopping centre in Wólka Kosowska (Piaseczno district).

The spokesperson for the head of the National Revenue Administration, Asp. Justyna Pasieczyńska, explained that over 166,000 items of clothing, footwear, perfumes and haberdashery with counterfeit trademarks of several dozen well-known companies from the clothing and cosmetics industry were seized.

During the search, 40 bags and boxes with thousands of fake tags and patches were also found. Two men who were at the warehouse during the inspection were questioned.

The value of the seized goods estimated by the wronged companies is over PLN 20 million. Marking goods with counterfeit trademarks is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. (PAP)
